Amaury Sport Organisation announced the creation of the Central Europe Rally on 4 February 2008. This new rally run under the "Dakar Series" banner will take place from April 20-26 in Hungary and Romania. The prize-giving gala will take place in Balatonfüred, only 60 km from FlyBalaton Airport.
